How to Achieve the Perfect Crackle
The crackling process is a chemical reaction between the base coat and the Crackle spray. Follow these steps for the best results:
The Base Coat: Apply a thick layer of a primer or color (like Loop Colors or Montana Black).
The Timing: Let the base coat dry for at least 45 minutes, but no more than 24 hours. The "sweet spot" depends on temperature and humidity.
The Application: Shake the can upside down for 2-3 minutes. Remove the safety ring. Apply the Crackle spray using a cross-coating motion (left-to-right, then top-to-bottom).
The Reveal: The crackling process begins shortly after application. For larger cracks, wait 5 minutes and apply an additional layer.
The Finish: Allow 24 hours for full curing. Once dry, you can seal it with Loop Colors Varnish for added protection.

Temperature Matters: Recommended working temperature is between +10°C and +25°C.
Surface Prep: Ensure the object is completely dry and free of dust, oil, and rust before you start.
