The Beginnings of Handmixed Markers

It all started in a picturesque town in Southern Chile, where a teenager with a passion for graffiti founded his own small company called PINTABIEN—a name symbolizing both painting and happiness. The year was 2007, and his markers and caps supplied the emerging street art movement in that isolated South American region.

After years of dedication and growth, he migrated in 2015—now an Industrial Design graduate—to the bustling city of Barcelona, the epicenter of art and creativity in Europe, bringing his business idea with him. Here, a new chapter began for his venture.

In 2017, in the vibrant Poblenou district, Hand Mixed Labs was established in a building that was slated for demolition. This is where the Hand Mixed Pro line was born: the very first multi-colored solid marker on the market, revolutionizing the graffiti and street art scene not just in Europe, but worldwide.

As the years passed, the company continued to grow. In 2020, they introduced the Lite line—a multi-colored water-based solid paint stick perfect for kids—and moved their production facility to the heart of Barcelona, occupying a breathtaking industrial building in the Raval district.

The following year, in 2021, they released the Rough Wall line: a multi-colored solid paint stick designed for heavy-duty applications on rough surfaces such as concrete, stone, and rusted metal.

Handmixed products have evolved over the years, but their commitment to quality and innovation has remained constant. From the world’s best solid paint sticks, handmade in Japan, to the hand-mixing of formulas in Barcelona for specific applications, every product tells a story of craftsmanship, passion, and creativity.

The Hand Mixed Lite Marker is a water-based paint stick, ideal for marking on light surfaces and suitable for children of all ages.
